A joint local plan for West Dorset and Weymouth & Portland was adopted in October 2015 and is now being reviewed. The councils consulted upon an ‘issues and options’ (INO) document and accompanying Sustainability Appraisal (SA1) in February 2017 before publishing a ‘preferred options’ (PO) document and updated Sustainability Appraisal (SA2) in August 2018.
